TACOMA – Dead Gentlemen Productions, creators of The Gamers: Dorkness Rising (now available on DVD at anthemdvd.com) announces the launch of their new website. Deadgentlemen.com is moving from a brochure style website with integrated community forums, relying on news posts to keep the website updated, to a content-driven site with integration to several social media sites, including Facebook, MySpace, Twitter and YouTube.
“The old website pretty much relied on a webmaster to update news posts and anything else on the site, which means with day jobs and everything else, a sad lack of website updates,” said Don Early, President of Dead Gentlemen Productions. The new design still utilizes news posts, but will be reserved primarily for press releases and other official company announcements. A Dead Gentlemen Blog section has been added for additional content. “We have wanted a blog section on our site for years,” said Early. “We have a lot of talented writers and artists that we wanted to showcase in an official capacity. These blogs will be a great place to keep the fans informed of what’s happening and provide more entertainment on a regular basis.”
One thing that is missing from the new site is the Dead Gentlemen Community Forums. Community interaction is a core value of the Dead Gentlemen and can now take place directly on the pages through comments on the posts, or through social media sites like Facebook, MySpace, Twitter and YouTube. “Creative and ongoing interaction between the Dead Gentlemen and fans can now take place in real time, based on personal interests,” said Ben Dobyns, one of the founding members of DGP. “For example, with our new House Rulez webseries, fans will be able to provide instant feedback on each new video that could tie in directly to how upcoming content is presented. Additionally, while the new site will operate as a hub for all DG content, we have made it easy to share and discover new Dead Gentlemen videos and movies across a wide number of social media platforms, including Facebook, YouTube, MySpace, Vimeo, and more!”
A newsletter function has also been added under the Contact Us section, where visitors can put in their information and subscribe to the Dead Gentlemen Newsletter.
Additionally, a ‘donate’ button has been added to the site to help with production fund-raising. “When we were in college getting ready to shoot Demon Hunters, Ben just went around campus asking people if they’d like to donate $20.00 to help us make a movie,” said Early. “He raised something like $2,000.00 in just a few days, which paid for the camera and other production stuff. Ten years later, we thought we’d try it again. This time, we’re asking for donations of whatever the fans feel like donating. In return, donors will receive a credit for helping to fund our next production.”
Fans can also support Dead Gentlemen Productions by purchasing their DVDs and other products at the Dead Gentlemen Store. The new site is set to launch by the beginning of September.

That’s what I’m talking about!
Allow I will say I am sad to have missed the DG forums and would love to see them reinstated. I am even more ecstatic to your site all sparkly and polished.
Welcome back to the world of the Undead.
On another note.
Thanks for the laughs and the constant references my friends and I make to your videos. Now that the diner near my house has opened up I can guarantee ”Waffles” aplenty.
-Cheers.
I miss the forums too.
I miss your gaming update threads, Andy!
I never knew we died in the first place! So hard to keep track of these things…
We were getting a lot of email about whether we had broken up, since there hadn’t been any activity on our site for so long. I thought the metaphor was apt.
I am in complete agreement with you Don.
I don’t know about the DG being dead but after watching your video I can promise you’ve just gained a loyal fan.
Excellent to see you all back and with a mighty fine new website!
Woohoo! Love the new site!
