Dead Gentlemen wanted to take a moment to highlight some of the amazing work that their friend and mentor, R.L. McSterlingthong, has been doing in the Fantasy genre. Ever since his fifth debut novel, “The Sins of the Hedgehog”, R.L. has helped to not only define the genre, but to shatter its very boundaries with his invention of dragons, his incredible insight into archaic barbarian drinking styles, and his encyclopedic knowledge of dwarven hygeine. R.L. has recently begun an unprecedented Twitter novel called “An Apprentice for Percy”, which can be found on his website at http://www.mcsterlingthong.com/twitter.html or on Twitter at http://twitter.com/mcsterlingthong. Join him on this incredible ground breaking project!

Meanwhile, in the realm of traditional publishing, R.L.’s new novel, “Fäërÿhüntër 880 BD” recently launched to rave reviews. Here is the summary from the back cover of this fantastic piece of literature:
Taken as an infant and raised by the Darkwood Pixies, Rengilda knows nothing of the outside world, her troubled past or her questionable parentage. One day, her carefree existence of sniffing flowers, smoking joy-leaves and participating in the traditional Dance of the Flittering Toadstools is shattered, when she stumbles upon a traveling circus that unveils the horrifying truth; she was taken by the pixies from the Stirgood Sprites during the Great Fey-tastrophy twenty years earlier. As decades of loathing and hatred burst forth, Rengilda becomes a soul possessed, as a burning desire to crush the peaceful Fey blasts outward from the core of her being and she realizes she cannot, will not, MUST not stop until every last pixie is dashed to pieces with her vengeance!

R.L. Mcsterlingthong IS fantasy!

Hey. . . that elf looks kinda familiar.
I first discovered R.L. McSterlingthong in the late 90′s. Let me just say that his work has changed my whole perception on Fantasy. Not since the days of big hair and loud guitars has anyone used a forceful umlaut like McSterlingthong.
His handling of bulimia in a sensitive fantasy setting helped me get over my own crippling Lembas binge/purge cycle. Now I’m a comfortable 5’5″ and 290lbs. Thank you R.L!
I can’t wait to absorb the adventures of Rengilda!
I must agree with Ben that elf does look familiar.
Now that DG new site is up and running I am happy to see their support for other works out there and this book and author certainly look worth the trip to the bookstore.
If I may suggest, a high quality Fäërÿhüntër Poster (or wall scroll?) would likely sell quite well. I know I’d like to get more familiar with that elf. >.>
