*Yawn*
Oh, man…I haven’t slept that wel– JANUARY!? When did that happen!? Aw jeez, guess I’d better update the DG site!
What’s new in our rapidly growing world this week? Let’s see…first of all, seeing as it’s no longer really the holiday season (no offense meant to Dr. King, but his birthday is rarely a gift-giving occasion) the DGStore has being pared down a bit. The Edition has reached it’s Limit for the Gamers’ Beer Stein. Sadly, they are no longer available, so I hope you got one (or more) while they lasted. Also, the end of the holidays brings about the end of the holiday sale on VHS copies of “Demon Hunters.” However, since I don’t think we actually sold any during that time, the sale is extended! So take advantage of this not-so limited time offer, NOW!
With the loss of a DGStore item comes a brand new DGStore item. It’s my great pleasure to present “Ben Dobyns: Live in Parkland”, the long-awaited recording of Ben’s Jazz Piano Concert from last September.

Available right now, this CD contains several classic jazz pieces, as well as four songs from DGP’s epic, we-promise-we’re-gonna-make-it-some-day musical “Argonautica.” As if that weren’t enough, it also features a live performance of everyone’s favorite, “Demon Hunter Blues,” with vocal accompaniment by Steve “It’s Vie-ner” Wolbrecht. In all, it’s an amazing compliation from an amazing musician and several of his amazing musician friends. Get your copy today!
And finally, a pair of personal news items only moderately related to DGP.
- First of all, after months and months of searching, I finally have a job. It’s a temp position, but I’m guaranteed to be making income for at least the next month, and every penny I add to my bank account puts me one penny closer to returning to the glorious Pacific Northwest.
- Second, I have a new goal in life. I have made the decision to painstakingly recreate scenes from DGP films…IN LEGO! That’s right, armed with intoxicating model paint, a modest sum of my personal money, and www.brickbay.com, I will be customizing mini-figures and crafting scenery to recreate in ridiculous detail, “famous” scenes from Demon Hunters and DH2: Dead Camper Lake. “Why?” you might ask. I’ll tell you why. I have no life. But besides that, I think it will be really freaking cool. And who knows, if I manage to get my mitts on a camera, there might even be some kickass animated shorts in DG’s future. So, y’all have that to look forward to. Peace out!
